I can blog but I can't twit. Used to be we picked up the phone. Now you have your email and your voicemail, your im and your twitter, your facebook and your youtube. I am sounding like an old fart, I know. I prefer we get back to more subtle and indirect forms of ccommunication. A wink, a nod, a finger to the side of the nose. Now you're talking. Pull up a chair and we'll go wireless.Friday, May 22, 2009

Weekender 30, 31 and 32.
Spring flowers are in full bloom and so are my Weekender chairs. I had one client change the color of her chairs already because they were competing too much with her garden. They needed to be toned down just a bit. That's what's so great about paint. It's very easy to make big changes with relatively low cost. Did I mention I also offer a complete painting service? Even if the chairs are not mine, I'd be happy to give you a quote on the job. Just give us a call at 207.929.5767 or email me at shakerondack@dirkleach.com.Saturday, May 9, 2009
That Summer Feeling
Come see my "Girls of Summer" Weekender chairs at Cottage Road in Yarmouth, ME. Located right next to my favorite coffee stop, Maine Coffee Roasters, on Route 1. Interior designers Deborah and Alisha really know how to evoke that summer feeling with these brilliant color selections from the Benjamin Moore pallete. We have (left to right) Summer Blue, Fresh Green and Blue Lapis. Stop by and check them out. Be sure to wear your shorts and flip-flops. You'll be getting that summer feeling.

Come On By And Set A Spell
Weekender Chairs #27-29 are now available to see and sit and visit at Cry Of The Loon Gallery on Route 302 in South Casco Maine. Come on by and rest a spell. And check out the colorful aluminum bunnies while you're there.Chair colors are: Watertown Blue, Poppy Red and No-Nonsense Yellow. I like that "no-nonsense" stuff. Why do they say "set" instead of "sit" anyway?

Cat Nap
Grace loves to snooze on the front porch. Her favorite chair is a painted oak beauty I have named "Grace" in her honor. The Benjamin Moore paint color is called "Salmon Run". This appeals to Grace. Behind her is another "Grace" chair painted in "Pistachio". She never seems to want to nap in that chair. Guess she's just not all that crazy about nuts. Nor is she coo-coo for Cocoa Puffs. Move over Grace I guess Daddy needs a nap too.Sunday, May 3, 2009

Smile Generator
She's smiling again. And it's not because she's my biggest fan. Like everyone else who sits in one of my Weekender Chairs she can't help it. Repose in one of my chairs and be transported to your happy place. A comfort zone of peace and quiet and contentment. You can forget about pharmaceuticals and the day spa. Fire your psychiatrist. Simply buy a Weekender Chair and place it in your own little piece of the great outdoors. Now sit back. Relax. Feel your troubles slip away. Stop the world and get off.Now you're smiling.
