Remote Sensing

Here's another between chairs painting. I was imagining a fantasy landscape viewed from space through a high resolution geocentric spectrometer. I just made that last part up. When I was in college I took a class called "Plate Tectonics and Geomagnetic Reversals". I learned that the earth's crust was like an eggshell floating atop a molten core. We spent much of our time on field trips looking at rocks and collecting data about the bedrock beneath our feet. The best part was drawing the maps and using all those colored pencils.
